Sabian's AA Compression Stax cymbals are a game-changer in percussion circles. As members of Sabian's AA family, Compression Stax cymbals are crafted from classic B20 bronze and feature a vintage aesthetic. The 10-inch bottom cymbal of this duo has six 1-inch holes, while the slightly smaller top cymbal has twelve smaller holes, both with a captivating natural finish. Few DrummerSuperStore players have encountered a stack with a faster and darker attack than the one produced by this pair. The sound of AA Compression Stax percussion works brilliantly as a backup special effect, but they also make a convincing EDM applause! As with the Compression Hats, the top and bottom of this pairing feature hole patterns to enhance the sound. The bottom cymbal is thin, un-lathed and flat, with 6 one-inch holes. The top is slightly smaller than the bottom, has 6 rows of Aero holes and is medium thin. The smaller top creates a tight fit, and the holes project a quick attack, emulating an electronic “clap”. Overall, they are darker and lower-pitched than many of the stacking combinations popular today. A special process gives them their unique finish.
