The Ludwig Raw Brass Phonic Snare looks as organic as it sounds! A new spin on Ludwig's legendary Black Beauty snare, the LB454R features the same seamless beaded brass shell, but with a raw, un-plated finish. Left untreated, the raw brass creates a natural patina that is unique to each drum. No two shells are the same! The LB454R comes with 2.3mm triple flanged hoops, P88 throw off, and Imperial lugs. Everything you love about a Black Beauty with just enough dry response and an unforgettable look.
This snare starts with a seamless center-beaded brass shell of the same quality as Ludwig's legendary Black Beauties. Immediately one of its most striking features is this drum's unfinished exterior. The total lack of finish yields a truly natural patina and completely unfiltered top end tone.
