Armed with quality electronic controls
An easy-to-use control panel is one major benefit of this valued-packed acoustic/electric. Along the top facing side, you have quick access to a master volume knob and a digital tuner, so adjustments while performing can be made quickly and discreetly. Also included on the control panel is a 3-band graphic equalizer, so you can shape your own mix of treble, middle, and bass into the tone that’s just right for you and your audience. Find the perfect balance to match any venue or shape your sound in the studio with ease — the AB24 has your back!
When it comes to power, the AB24 is backed up by a CE304T preamp that drives an active CT-600A pickup. The result is an incredibly clear and tonally balanced sound, allowing you to really sharpen or round off any edge with the 3-band EQ. With that said, the AB24 doesn’t hold back — whether plugged in or acoustic, its projection is strong and defined with plenty of depth and resonance.
Unique Ovation design and construction
The AB24 retains plenty of classic Ovation appointments, starting with its Lyrachord body. Its rounded-off, mid-depth cutaway design easily sets it apart aesthetically from other guitars on the market, and you can really hear the difference when you plug in. A layered spruce top is satin finished with ABS ivory binding for a truly classic appearance that will fit any setting. The mahogany neck houses a naturally finished ovangkol fretboard with 20 medium-sized frets and standard markers, a familiar feel that will make guitarists of any caliber feel right at home. Ovation die-cast tuning machines and chrome-plated pegs line the vintage-style mahogany headstock for a truly classic look.
